I can't say enough about Tracy St. John. I've read over a dozen books by this author and rated each and every one 5 stars. I wish I could give more. This author has more imagination, creativity and writing ability in her little finger than I have in my entire body (and that's pretty big). I purchased all of the books available on Amazon which should show you that I stand behind this author's work.

After reading the other series of books, I was undecided whether to purchase this series as well. Since these stories were originally published on the author's blog, I hesitated to pay money for these Kindle versions. I'm so glad that did.

Ms. St. John is my favorite writer for this genre. Period. End of story. Despite the fact that this series of books is actually one very long continuing story for the central character Shalia, it is anything but repetitious. As you may suspect, there is a lot of heart-warming, tear-jerking, pulse-pounding action in every book. Shalia's life following the destruction of Earth has the ups and downs that are as wild as Earth's leadership's actions to annihilate everyone rather than face war against aliens. Each story ends in a logical break, however that's not to say that each book has a HEA or HFN ending. Rather, the book's conclusion leaves open the next installment of the series. It's difficult to put down simply because you are looking forward to more of the story.

If you like alien romances with hot sex, hot aliens and hot action do not hesitate to start reading this series. I hope that you'll enjoy it as much as I do since I consider this to be one of the best buys I've made on this site. Brava!

Most of this author's books are very well written escapist fun. This ends badly. Since the author could have chosen to end this blog/book at any point, why end here? If she was trying to insult her fan base, she has succeeded. Her writing is technically as good as ever. But if she enjoys depressing her base, she should invest in a good antidepressant. I do not read her type of stories to be left depressed. She is losing her loyal audience.
I am really enjoying the Shalia’s diary series. It’s a unique perspective from the other books about Kalquor and this particular one ends on such a sad note. However, there is a lot of action before the ending, a lot of fighting, betrayal, and madness. Can’t wait to start on number 3.
I read diary 1&2 and am keeping up with St John's blog as she writes #3. I do hope that she finishes Shalia's journey and decisions with #3. In the end, to compile them all together would of course be ideal.
Shalia is an American girl who wants it all her way. Well, we'll see if that ultimately happens.
I am a fan of the Kalquor series, just not the mm stuff, and this runs along the mfmm vein of the others. So, if you like all the others, and you like first person story telling, then you will enjoy Shalia's diary musings as well.
So glad I started reading this. I was actually reading book six of Clans of the Kalquorian when I stumbled upon Shalia’s diary. Such a wonderful addition and addictive.
I really like this series of books and was glad to get this Diary set also. I have checked out the weekly update on the diary entries that you can read until the next completed Diary comes out, and look forward to any other books she writes on this series. This author explores this series very well and from many view points of the Earth women. I like how some are very timid and some are not even though they had been oppressed and abused for many years. I also liked the couple of books she did on the forming of a couple of the male clans before they met their females. Overall a great series and on my favorites section of my !
Any book by Tracy St. John is on my must buy list, but I especially love her Kalquor series. I never really was interested in SciFi Romance..more of a paranormal romance reader myself...but I picked up one of the series, read it, and I was hooked! Interesting take on alien/human relations, good world building, and lot and lots of spicy hot loving! Shalia's Diary 1 & 2 are great books. Told from a females point of view in diary installments, it give a day by day look into how her life is changing since 'Armageddon". Survival for herself and her mom, meeting up with the aliens, adapting to the new course her life will take, traveling to a new world. The Kalquorians are a great species. VERY Alpha and very caring. Shalia is no wimp either. I am not going to go into any spoilers, but once you start out on Shalia's journey, you won't be able to stop. Great series!
Wow Tracy! So cool this format! I've never, before reading this book and the following blogs, really thought so hard about the completely separate dynamic surrounding the guys trios... The whole angst of finding and completing their male trios with both personalities and goals, to match a husband and wife is hard enough, but for 3 guys with all their internal baggage and inborn " Imdiko, nobek and dramok" overtones is wonderful and yet another testament to you as a writer for bringing that masculine spectrum to our mostly female notice... I admit to having in the past overlooked the "original clanning" books of this series as something that didn't interest me as much as when one of the ladies was fitting into that dynamic, but, after reading Oses and B (having brain fart here forgotten Shalia's liasons name), going to have to go back and buy those. By the way anyone interested on starting this offshoot, I HIGHLY recommend you do, and make sure you click onto the blog highlighted in blue at the end in the authors note to continue Shalia's story on her journey to Kalquor. Got to Feb 1 part 2 and you said there was one more before hiatus, but couldn't find... Also couldn't make comments, is that because of my iPad or just my inability to drive it..?
